Faces of Human Trafficking
Painter
May 2006

For 2 days now I have been working diligently to finish this piece. Some of you may not know this but in my line of work I hear a lot. I hear about many issues which for the most part I set aside until the right time to create a piece that befits it's meaning. The painting will create controversy for which I welcome with open arms. I am not opposed to opposition and have never been one to conform to anyone's standard way or life or thinking. I may not like what I hear and see but they are your thoughts and yours alone. You are the master of your emotions. I had to paint this in light of a program I watch (which by the way reminded me of what continues to exist) that was so compelling it brought tears to my eyes. Originally I was going to have the characters inside of a truck with flash lights pointing at them but I decided it would be too much for me. In my desperation to finish this piece I left out so many ideas I had in my head "intentionally" so that the piece could encompass faces and nothing more.
I welcome any comments and know that my heart and soul went into this one. No stock photos, no books for reference, nor visuals of any kind were my aids just good old fashion sketching and painting.
Painter and at least 40 hours....
